A message from N.C.P. President Pam Goldstein

     Approximately fifteen years ago, crime in the Lindenwood area was increasing at a disturbing and alarming rate. Muggings, car thefts and vandalism were becoming all too common.

    Concerned residents realized that affirmative action needed to be taken and numerous meeting were held. There was unanimous agreement that a private security patrol would be the best means of insuring the safety of the residents and maintaining the stability of Lindenwood.

    As a result of hard work and dedication by members of the community, an organization was formed which was comprised of various cooperative and condominium developments. This organization then contracted with a private security company to patrol the neighborhood.

    Over the years the name of the organization changed as did the private security company. However, the aims and goals remain the same as when the first community meeting was held many years ago in the bagel shop of the Lindenwood Shopping Center.

    From the onset, the Patrol made an overwhelming positive impact. Current statistics from the 106th Precinct confirm its continued and ongoing effectiveness. The Security Patrol is a valuable asset to Lindenwood and has made a tremendous difference.

    Phoenix Services Protection Agency personnel who patrol this neighborhood are dedicated and professional. Their efforts have been instrumental in many instances in the Police Department's ability to apprehend individuals who have committed crimes in the area.

    NCP and the Security Patrol are proof-positive that a community can join together in a successful endeavor for the common good of its residents and the neighborhood as a whole.
